BACKGROUND

The MatE Research Group has a very long tradition. Originally the group was known as Embryology Reproductive Research (ERRA) in 2004,  which later became Embryo & Reproduction Research Iniative (ERRIn)  in 2009. The research team is from various related fields of biology and biomedicine on Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). At present, the MatE Research Group Members develop their scientific ideas and skills in the field of embryology, molecular biology, experimental endocrinology and cell biology under the guidance of experienced professionals.

MISSION AND VISION

The main aim of the Maternofetal and Embryology (MatE) Research Group is to promote an interest, and collaboration in the study of reproductive biology and medicine. MatE facilitates research and dissemination of research findings in reproductive biology and medicine to the general public, scientists, clinicians and patients.

It organizes community outreach education programmes to improve reproductive health in rural and urban areas nationwide via organized teaching and training activities. MatE also aims to work with policy-makers in Malaysia to promote wellbeing and future health of the nation, via improvement of maternofetal health.
